Remote Learning from Home
We know things are very different now to how they usually are and that some of you may feel anxious and worried, but all your teachers are thinking about you and are available if you want to contact them.

It is important to stay fit and healthy. If you can, spend some time outside each day but if that is not possible, you can always exercise indoors. Remember if you do go outside you must not get too close to other people.
Every morning at 9am Joe Wicks will be doing a fitness session on You Tube. Ask your parents if you can join in - we will be in school.
Lots of things to do...
We have adopted the Agora Pledge which says what we will do for you by the time you are 11. At the moment some of these are on hold until we are able to restart our trips. So in the meantime have a look at these:
Scouts Association The Great Indoors - there are lots of fun activities you can do at home. Some may take a bit of planning so be patient but maybe you could plan an activity for later in the week when you have tried to get together anything you might need.
50 things to do before you're 11 ¾ - the National Trust have some great ideas of fun things to do. Some may need a garden or open space but some like watching a sunrise (sorry mums and dads!) could be done at home.
Try to read every day.
You should have a book from school but please read your own if you would prefer. At the moment South Oxhey library is shut but if you have a library card you can borrow eBooks-ask your adult to look at the library website below.
The World of David Walliams has lots of fun activities based on his books. Why don't you have a look?
The Roald Dahl site also has lots of things to do. Which is your favourite?
Audible have opened up their catalogue of audio books for free!
Walker Books have a YouTube channel with readings of some of their books.
Phonics and Spelling
Phonics play has opened up their site for free access.
You can go on their original site www.phonicsplay.co.uk - but you might have to use Internet Explorer

Phonics Play Comics - once you have practised your sounds, try reading the matching comic.
Spelling Frame - practise your spellings here by playing tile games or take a test to see how much you know. For all year groups.

Keeping safe and informed
The adult news can be confusing at scary at times.
If you want to know what is happening in the world have a look at Newsround - it's much easier to understand and a new episode is released every day.
You will have heard so many people talking about the importance of washing your hands again and again and again!
If you need a reminder how to make sure every part of your hands are clean watch this.
There are lots of internet sites you could use but remember how to stay safe on-line.
