HIKE TO THE MOON APRIL 2020
BBC Children in Need and Comic Relief's 'Big Night In' Challenge.
One of the challenges being run is called Hike to the Moon. They ask that young people each walk a mile (2000 steps or 20 mins walking at home or in garden) and together we "walk" 240,000 to the moon. We are therefore challenging every member of WD community to walk 1 mile (or as far as is age-appropriate) and to send in a video clip a few seconds long of them doing it. You can walk with your kids, your pets, at home, in your garden, in the park, in fancy dress, with a mask to hide your face, however you wish! What we think is really important is that we pull together as a school community and all get involved. We will edit all the clips together to produce a whole-school video and for it to be most effective it will have a mix of pupils, teachers, TAs,MSAs, support staff, admin and premises staff. Once you have walked your mile you can register it on the website, and then if you are able please consider making a donation.
