JLT / School Council

Junior Leadership Team

Each academic year at Warren Dell we select Head Pupils and Prefects to form a Junior Leadership Team.  Children apply for the roles that they would like to be considered for by completing an application form that includes a reference from an adult that knows them and recommends them for the roles.

Their current duties include:

• Modelling the behaviour and effort we expect of every child in the school
• Showing visitors around our school
• Working with staff to suggest improvements to Warren Dell
• Greeting children in the mornings
• welcoming new children to school
• supporting our school council
• Supporting teachers with small jobs such as gathering resources.
• Looking out for children who are behaving really well and praising them for their efforts
• Representing the school at community events

House Captains

Our house captains will support Mr Richards at sporting events and will promote being healthy across school. They will check that we have PE kits available in school so that all children can take part in PE lessons.

Well-being Champions

Our well-being champions will meet with Mr Hodgkinson regularly.

Abbey

School Council

Twice annually, each class democratically elects two children to be their representatives on our school council.  The School council meets fortnightly with our Junior Leadership team and Mrs Spolander.

The role of the school council includes:

• Suggesting Improvements to Warren Dell
• Ensuring everyone is safe in school
• Choosing a charity and organising a fundraising event
• Passing on the views and concerns of children in their class
