HOW WILL I KNOW HOW MY CHILD IS DOING AND IN WHAT WAYS CAN I BE INVOLVED?
- All children (including those with SEND) have formal parent evenings in the Autumn and Spring term with a written report at the end of the Summer term.
- Every half-term, all children in years 1-6 (including those with SEND) bring home an ‘Assertive Mentoring’ sheet (which they have discussed 1:1 with their class teacher) which will indicate your child’s progress in both academic and social areas of school life.
- Children on the SEND register have formal termly target and action plan review meeting with parents, class teacher, the SENCo and, if appropriate, the child.
- The inclusion team including the SENCo hold half termly coffee mornings.
- As part of our open door policy, parents are always welcome to make appointments to meet with class teachers or the Senior Leadership Team / SENCo should they wish to discuss their child’s progress or school experience.
