Summer 1 -
This half term our topic is all about animals and insects! We will be learning about different animals as well as exploring life cycles. In Literacy we are going to be reading lots of books related to animals such as 'Dear Zoo' and 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar'. In Maths we are going to be exploring money, addition and subtraction and measures!
Spring 2 - How many colours in the rainbow?
Our topic this half term is called how many colours in the rainbow? We will have lots of fun exploring different colours and what happens when we mix different colours, and where we find colours. In literacy we will be looking at rhyming words and writing colour poems. In maths we are looking at capacity, simple addition and subtraction.

Spring 1 -
Our topic this half term is called Frozen. We will be exploring ice and how it freezes and also how it melts, cold weather, and arctic animals. In maths we will be looking at addition and subtraction as well as measuring. In literacy we will be reading Frozen and lots of other exciting stories based on our Frozen topic.
This half term our topic is called 'Pirates'. We will be listening to lots of Pirate stories and will be looking at which characters are goodies and baddies! We will be writing letters to Pirates and sending messages in a bottle. We will make pirate maps so that we can find our treasure, explore the sea, as well as investigate which boats will float or sink. In maths we will be counting treasure, learning new 2D and 3D shapes, and recognising coins!
